Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Description: If you've read any of the popular technical books such as Mastering Bitcoin or Programming Blockchain, you probably have a decent grasp on the fundamentals of how a Bitcoin wallet works. But in practice there are a wide variety of wallets in the wild which cater to different use cases. This session will cover some of the unique considerations that must be handled when building a wallet for enterprise rather than personal use.

What will students learn?
Edge cases, scalability, and usability issues that are unique to the operation of enterprise hot wallets. We'll cover issues such as UTXO management, fee estimation, key security, and address derivation.

This course is appropriate for advanced professionals, as well as current and aspiring blockchain developers who want to understand the nuances of building enterprise hot wallets.

Prerequisite: Recommend attendees install the Electrum Client and figure out how to run it on testnet.
