Shayan is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Ether Capital (ETHC.NE). He is also completing his doctoral studies with the topic of "New Technology, Old Crimes" at Concordia University. Previously he worked as a security engineer and smart contract auditor at ConsenSys Diligence. He has worked in network and information systems security for several years and has extensive experience as a blockchain engineer in startups, as well as contributing to open source projects. He has dedicated both his intellectual and professional pursuits towards Blockchain technology since 2012. Looking at the technology from an interdisciplinary perspective, Shayan has been working on multiple academic papers varying from exploring the psychology of Blockchain to systemizing attacks on smart contracts.
